Our philosophy

 

Our philosophy is simple - we take the time to understand every individual and build a plan specific to their background and their goals to enable them to go beyond what they thought possible.

To do this we build a profile for each athlete based on the responses to questions such as:

  • What is your sporting background?

  • What is your running experience and previous races and times?

  • What is your injury background?

  • How do you want running to fit around your other life commitments such as family and work?

  • How many days per week do you run (if at all) at the moment?

  • How many days do you want to run in the future?

  • What is your goal race and time?

  • Why do you want to run?

Our approach

 

Our approach is to develop each athlete to ensure they can perform at their best for their chosen race. Over time we will build fitness by focusing on consistency before getting race specific.

We do this through two planning tools

  1. A long-range plan which includes specific blocks of training aimed at developing a specific system and typically runs over 6-12 months and beyond.

  2. A short-term plan which breaks each of the long-range plan blocks into specific runs.

What you pay and what you get

 

For only $75 per month, we will provide you with the following:

  • An initial 30 minute consultation to better understand your background and goals and to explain our coaching philosophy and approach in more detail

  • A detailed weekly running program structured around your personal goals

  • Detailed race planning and strategy including hydration and nutrition approach and pacing strategy based on the course

  • Access to a premium online training platform which will be used to send you your workouts and for us to track your progress

  • Expert feedback and advice based on your progress

  • Unlimited communication with your coach 24/7 via email, text or WhatsApp

  • Opportunity to schedule phone calls for any detailed questions or discussions

Personalised UTA Specific Plans

 

For those wanting a specific plan to help you get prepared for Ultra Trail Australia, we also offer a personalised UTA plan for only $50. For this one off cost you will receive:

  • An initial 30 minute consultation to better understand your background and goals and to explain our coaching philosophy and approach in more detail

  • Access to a premium online training platform which will be used to send you your workouts and for us to track your progress

  • Opportunity to schedule phone calls for any detailed questions or discussions
